Street Art, Sao-Paulo connecting to Tehran Photo book 2019

“Human beings have always felt the need to express creatively. We registered our daily lives in cave walls and painted what we saw, did and ate. Today we know that, these paintings are more than just a record of History: in them, we see the amazing originality of the drawings and their aesthetics, a fascinating ability to interpret and think abstractly – a legacy that rivals the work of the most renowned contemporary artists. However, creative expression has changed through time, becoming more diverse and incorporating new techniques and themes. And what are the influences that shape these art forms? Local culture? Society?

This book draws a parallel between two different cultures. Here we present the views of a Brazilian photographer portraying Tehran and of an Iranian photographer portraying São Paulo, exchanging cultures and points of view.
